Cafe:
We are looking for individuals who are willing to serve in the cafe 1-2 times per month. Set up for the Cafe starts around 8am. The Cafe closes when service begins at 10am and volunteers join service as soon as cleaning tasks are complete. Our team runs the smoothest when we have 2-3 individuals working each Sunday.
Volunteers could help in several different ways!
- We could use people who are willing to take home and wash the kitchen towels every week.
- We could use people who just want to come in once a month to complete cleaning tasks like doing the dishes so baristas can attend the full worship service.
- We need more people who are willing to be trained on running our hot bar for espresso based drinks - no experience necessary! We will fully train you.
Volunteers coming into the cafe should be flexible and willing to learn. No one will be expected to come in already knowing how to make every drink and run the machines. We understand and just ask that you give yourself the time it takes to learn those processes! The Cafe is all about welcoming people into church with a warm - or cold! - beverage and a smile. Thank you for helping!
Media:
Running slides is a huge part of service! Without a dedicated person to fill this role, we wouldnât have informational graphics, lyrics, or scriptures to share throughout a Sunday service. This position includes learning ProPresenter, loading in the worship songs for the service, as well as the Pastor's notes, and scriptures, running the slides throughout the morning, and making sure to keep up with each song, and scripture. There will be communication with the tech, worship leader, and Camera/ live stream producer, as all of these departments work together to share a service online.
Camera/ Live Stream:
Itâs our joy to be able to bring church to the masses online! The live stream is more than just a video of the service online, it is an online community, growing together in Christ, when they canât be with us in person. The job of the Camera/ live stream producer is to set up and run the live stream through Facebook and YouTube, to operate the camera switcher, load in, and run the graphics, communicate with the tech and camera operator, as well as the person operating the slides. Working together as a team, we can present an online version of the service.
Sound: The sound tech is the âfirst line of defenseâ when it comes to Sunday service. If the sound isnât running well, nothing in the room sounds right. The worship team leads us to the throne, and the pastor guides us through scriptures, but the sound tech makes sure they all sound good. It is the responsibility of the tech to be at church before the worship team, get the sound board set and ready, turn on the stage lighting, and make sure the team has what they need for their instruments, lines, mics, etc. After that, youâll run a sound check, rehearsal, and service. You will be in communication with the worship leaders and team, live stream producer, slides operator, camera operator, and pastor.
